Dr. Anietie N. Okon, a senior Lecturer in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Uyo, currently serves as the acting head of the department, showcasing his leadership and administrative skills. He holds a Petroleum Engineering degree (BEng) and Ph.D. from the University of Uyo and an MSc. degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. His research interests, which include drilling fluid technology, reservoir simulation, and artificial intelligence models, have led to the publication of over 40 articles in local and international journals and 9 conference papers in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) proceedings. Dr. Okon is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and a member of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers (NIPetE).
